Kaufman DVD and Treatment Kit 1 Giveaway!

Today is May 1st, which marks the beginning of better speech and hearing month!  More importantly though, the Third Annual Apraxia Awareness Day is May 14!

To celebrate, I’m offering giveaways all month for apraxia related products.  First up are the immensely popular Kaufman DVD and Instructional Kit 1 COMBO.

This kit was honestly instrumental in helping my daughter cross the bridge from being a nonverbal, ineffective imitator, to  becoming a verbal speaking child.  She did this kit for 9 months until she burned out on it.

Though my therapy style is based more off of DTTC, I certainly use this kit as a tool for therapy with my own clients.  Many times, parents have borrowed my set and worked on it at home with their children for homework.

    I have 2 children with apraxia. This kit would be an amazing tool to use at home. They both have speech once a week but we practice at home each day. My 4 year old has made great progress with this set in thearapy. My 2 year old is just starting this journey. This tool would be a huge help in that journey.

    My 5 year-old son with apraxia started working on this set with his new SLP a few months ago and is making some good progress – he’s still at the front of the box, but we’ve seen some great gains compared to where he was before using the cards. It would be wonderful to have a set at home to practice in between his speech therapy sessions and over the summer before he starts kindergarten in the fall.

    This set is something I need to continue helping him outside of speech therapy. My son does better with cards to see vs incorportating his cvc words in everyday situations. Cards for him to hold, touch and see are what motivate him to work harder! This would be an amazing addition to our very small rotation of tools!

    Nancy’s clinic is in the same state that I live in and I have wanted to work with her SO much, but unfortunately each time I have seen a job posting on her site, I have lived across the state! I haven’t gotten to see her speak yet, but I have worked with one student who received treatment from her when they were a kid! At both of my previous employers, I had access to her materials and assessment, but now I am going into private practice for myself and do not have any of her materials. I would love the chance to win because I used her materials on a daily basis, and I would love more training and to be able to use them in the future in my own practice.
